Ångström Brass is focused on providing you with exceptional art-music experiences. Sometimes that means revisiting great works from the past. Sometimes it means collaborating with contemporary composers. Sometimes it means composing for ourselves. Regardless of where the music comes from, we take it apart, distill its essence, and rebuild it into a powerful statement worthy of your attention.
The ångström is a unit of length equal to one ten-billionth of a meter. The name Ångström Brass reflects our obsession with the details and our belief that sweating the small stuff rewards our listeners.
Our programs are designed to be approachable for the first-time concert goer and satisfying for the seasoned connoisseur. Please join us as we unearth, cut, polish, and display true gems of the musical repertoire.
